Our Approach

trauma-informed approach

When we experience trauma, we are often left with invisible wounds and scars.

Through a trauma-informed perspective, TMT aims to understand how your past and present experiences are interrelated.

Your trauma is not shameful, and your trauma experience does not define who you are.

TMT is here to help you understand how your trauma has shaped and influenced how you interact with the world, and how the world, in turn, reacts to you.

Resource-Oriented approach

Oftentimes, we are already equipped with the tools and resources necessary to enact personal change within ourselves.

TMT enables you to discover these resources and teaches techniques to use them effectively.

Our goal is to empower you to build up these resources so that you can eventually use them on a daily basis to support your well-being and further your wellness journey.

Music-centered Approach

Words can limit our ability to express ourselves. Sometimes we aren’t ready to explore our feelings and thoughts, or maybe don’t know where to start.

Using a music-centered approach, TMT uses songwriting, music listening, and other techniques to help you achieve your therapy goals.

You do not need to have any musical experiences or be a musician to benefit from a music-centered approach.
